A Letter from Tony & Katie
Hello from Northeast Tennessee! We are a fun-loving Christian couple, excitedly awaiting the incredible blessing of becoming first-time parents through adoption. We enjoy attending our church, cherishing time with family, adventures to amusement parks, and splashing around in our pool.
We invite you to share your story with us, as we’d love to learn more about you and your little one. We are open to sharing pictures, updates, and visits. We hope to forge a connection that is rooted in love, trust, and mutual support.
Our Story
We’ve been happily married for 5 years, but began our journey 6 years ago when we met online. Our connection was so strong that we were engaged after just 4 months and married within a year of dating.
While we’ve faced challenges on our path to parenthood, including fertility treatments and pregnancy loss, we firmly believe that God is guiding us towards adoption.
We love the comfort of home, but also enjoy going on trips to visit family/friends and explore new places. We can’t wait to involve our future child in traveling, splashing in our pool, playing laughter-filled games, and creating memories through bedtime stories.
Meet Tony
I work remotely as a software engineer for a small, but growing company. I love the flexibility of working from anywhere with no commute. I enjoy programming, learning from YouTube, and music. I can’t wait to share my love for learning with our child, exposing them to diverse activities, and helping them pursue their interests and dreams.
Latest endeavors: baking homemade bread, growing our own veggies, hunting, and playing pickle ball.
Tony, according to Katie: Tony is compassionate, has a teacher’s heart, and is a lifelong learner. A faithful follower of Christ, he serves as a great leader for our family. He has integrity in his work, is non-judgmental, and has a steadfast moral compass. He often tells cheesy dad jokes and is always bringing laughter into our lives.
Meet Katie
I have enjoyed a career as a professional nanny for most of my adulthood – helping kiddos grow and thrive, while being a support system to their parents. Now, as a homemaker, we await the opportunity for me to be a stay-at-home mom. I find joy in listening to podcasts & music and staying connected with family & friends.
I look forward to sharing my passion for baking, cooking, and reading with our child. I can’t wait to share simple, sweet moments with our future little one: creating art projects, making homemade playdough, and chasing bubbles.
Latest endeavors: Crocheting a cozy baby blanket, tending our veggie and flower gardens, landscaping our yard, and canning lots of salsa!
Katie, according to Tony: Katie is a natural caregiver; her kindness and compassion touches everyone she meets. She’s incredibly loyal, as demonstrated by the many lifelong friendships she maintains. She’s a proficient planner, managing all our activities and trips. She’s a source of fun and laughter, bringing joy into our home.
Our Home In Tennessee
Our spacious four-bedroom home is in beautiful Northeast Tennessee. The finished basement holds Tony’s office and a large play space. We look forward to customizing the nursery with a farm animal theme, creating a space for imagination to flourish. Outside is a fenced-in pool and a large deck where we love to grill or make s’mores in our fire pit. Our home is truly our oasis! Our neighborhood is safe and welcoming, with highly rated schools, and a wonderful church community to help a child thrive.
Our Extended Family
Katie’s family lives in her Idaho hometown. We visit a couple of times per year and maintain close-knit relationships. Her extended family is on the West Coast and nearby in Virginia, where we often celebrate Thanksgiving.
Tony grew up in middle Tennessee, where his family still resides, including his niece, who joined us for a fantastic spring break this year! Christmas is a cherished time, often enjoyed together. He also has nearby extended family we enjoy seeing throughout the year.
Both families eagerly support our adoption and await welcoming our child. They’re excited to share family traditions like roasting marshmallows, playing games, and making memories together.
In addition to family, our lives are blessed with a circle of remarkable friends. Their unwavering support and excitement have been invaluable on our journey.
Our Promise
Our promise to you is that your child will grow up in a home full of unconditional love, stability, and lots of laughter. Your child’s dreams, goals, education, and talents will be nurtured and supported. We promise to raise him or her with Christian values and to know the love of Jesus.
We promise to honor your story, sharing it openly with your child, so they will always know the incredible journey that brought them into our family. You are in our thoughts and prayers. We are excited to cheer on your personal aspirations and look forward to building a relationship that respects your comfort level.
