A Letter from Keith & Monina
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We hope to get to know you too! We believe our paths have led us to become adoptive parents. We hope our profile can give you a glimpse of our life, passions, and values. We are grateful and humbled to be on this adoption journey and hope we get to do that with you. Our hearts and home are open and ready to welcome a little one and honor the hopes and dreams you have for your child.
About Us
We started dating 7 years ago and have been married for 3. We love each other and love the life we are building together. We laugh together (a lot), and support each other through the good and the challenging.
We enjoy hiking, cooking, entertaining, watching sports, playing sports (like basketball, golf, and pickleball), and enjoy a fun board game – Taco vs. Burrito is a fun new game we learned this summer.
Learning is important to us, whether it’s finding new places to explore, new recipes to try, new games to play, or new skills to practice. We are eager to become first-time parents and look forward to continuing to learn, grow, and share our life with you and your child.
About Keith (by Monina)
Keith is kind, thoughtful, patient, and incredibly funny. He loves to laugh and loves making others laugh even more. He is engaging and quick-witted, which often draws friends and family of all ages to him.
He works hard for our family and is driven and focused at work as a Senior Underwriting Consultant for a regional hospital. He’s calm, collaborates well, and is always available to help his coworkers.
Keith is devoted to his family, loves golf, the Golden State Warriors, Star Wars, and is an excellent baker. All these qualities, his huge heart, and his arsenal of puns and dad jokes make him ready to be the great father he was always meant to be. I can’t wait to parent and raise a family with such a wonderful man.
About Monina (by Keith)
Mo is the love of my life. One of my favorite things in the world is her laugh. Fortunately for me, if my jokes don’t land, she cracks herself up all the time.
Monina is nurturing, naturally curious, and fiercely loyal to the people she cares about. She will be a great mother. She is inclusive and makes people feel seen. Our nieces and nephews love ‘Auntie Mo’. She creates special events for the kids in our lives like treasure hunts and obstacle courses and we always have a supply of arts and crafts ready for action.
Although she’s been in California for a while, she stays true to her Midwest roots – loves football, especially the Chicago Bears, and a good casserole. She is a good athlete, cook, student, and teacher. I am so fortunate to live my life by her side.
Our Family
We are both lucky to come from large families who have instilled in us the importance of love, support and togetherness. Keith is the oldest of 3 kids and Monina is the 3rd of 4 kids. Together, we have 11 nieces and nephews who will be wonderful playmates to their future cousin.
Our family gatherings often involve cooking and great meals as both our families share cooking as a love language. Keith learned to love baking from his mom, especially the family recipe for the best chocolate chip cookies! Monina enjoys exploring recipes and foods from different cultures, which she learned from her dad. We look forward to passing on family recipes and finding new ones that could be future favorites.
Whether it’s hosting or visiting, we truly value making memories with our families and look forward to making new ones as we expand our family.
Our Home in California
We live in a suburb in Northern California in a 3-bedroom home with a large yard surrounded by planter boxes and citrus trees. Our neighborhood is diverse and full of families with children who are often playing outside.
We love exploring museums, shows, and other cultural activities of the cities nearby as well as beaches, mountains, and woods, which are all just a drive away!
When we are home, we enjoy backyard hangouts, cooking together, listening to music, and having movie nights. Living close to family and friends in a safe, and welcoming community adds so much stability and joy to our life.
Our Promise
We promise to love your child unconditionally and provide support and guidance so that they may realize their potential. We will share our love of family, community, traditions, and interests in travel, and continued learning while encouraging and nurturing their interests and dreams. We will cultivate a loving, stable, and safe home so he or she feels free to grow into their true self knowing we will always be in their corner.
We welcome an open adoption with you at your comfort level. Regardless of the openness you choose, your child will always know about you and the love you have for him or her.

More About Our Family | ||
Why we are Adopting | We’ve had adoption in our hearts for a long time and feel that God has led us to each other and adoption. We both have friends and family who are adoptees or adoptive parents and before we got married, we decided that adoption was a journey we would take together. We wanted to adopt regardless of our ability to have biological children or not. Our journey through infertility has only strengthened our belief that we are meant to be parents and we believe adoption is the path we were meant to take.
Some of our Seasonal Activities | -Spring – Every spring, we choose plants for our planters. We have grown herbs, tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, and squash.
Our Dog Stella | Stella is our 3-year-old dog. She is very sweet, gentle with little ones and overall, a very good girl. She can usually be found patrolling the yard, looking out the window, or cuddling on the couch. Stella will be a great playmate and best friend to the future little one in our home.
